About
Vishak Menon
I spent fifteen years building and running compliance and operations functions inside large technology companies. At The Trade Desk I lead strategic operations and ad policy, own internal AI governance end to end, and founded the support AI council and PMO. Before that I built privacy product lines through CCPA and GDPR, ran IP integrity operations at Meta, and stood up Amazon's global enforcement operation from zero.
That is the resume. Here is what I do with it now.
I help companies prove their AI is governed. Not with a certificate I am not licensed to issue, and not with a legal opinion I am not qualified to give, but with the thing between the two: an honest inventory of every AI system in the building, a score against the frameworks buyers and regulators actually cite, and a plan a team can execute without hiring anyone. The companies I work with are the ones getting AI questions before they have anyone whose job it is to answer them.
The work is compliance-shaped because I am. Fifteen years of audits, regulator conversations, policy lines, and enforcement queues teach you what evidence looks like and what theater looks like. The deliverable is always the evidence.
I take a limited number of engagements at a time. That is not a marketing line. It is how the work stays good.
I hold the IAPP's AIGP certification and an MBA from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. I am based in Irvine, California, and work with companies anywhere.
