I spent fifteen years building and running compliance and operations functions inside large technology companies. At The Trade Desk I lead strategic operations and ad policy, own internal AI governance end to end, and founded the support AI council and PMO. Before that I built privacy product lines through CCPA and GDPR, ran IP integrity operations at Meta, and stood up Amazon's global enforcement operation from zero.

That is the resume. Here is what I do with it now.

I work with precision machine shops: the small manufacturers that make critical parts for defense, medical, aerospace, and space. Most of these shops are owned by people near retirement. Most that list for sale never find a buyer, and when a shop dies its qualifications, its crew, and its quoting knowledge die with it. Meanwhile qualifying a new supplier for this work takes years, which makes the shops that already do it some of the most quietly valuable businesses in the country.

I evaluate these businesses before anyone signs anything. I invest my own money as a minority partner, alongside the owner who built the shop or the operator buying it. I am in the building full time for the first ninety days after a close, when customers, employees, and lenders decide whether to trust the new situation. Then I step back to the board and stay an owner for years. The operator keeps control. The name stays on the door.

I take a limited number of these partnerships a year, one at a time. That is not a marketing line. It is how the work stays good.
