What works:

• Own a machine shop. You are thinking about succession, a partner, or partial liquidity. One page about your shop is enough to start. No obligation follows from a conversation.
• Buying a shop. You are a searcher or operator with a deal, or about to be. Send the one-page summary or the CIM and where you are in the process. I respond to every serious buyer, even when the answer is that the deal should not be bought.
• Sell or refer a business. Outside machining but worth a look. A one-page summary is enough to start.
• Invest alongside me. If something I have written makes you want to co-invest, tell me what caught your attention.
• Advisory. I take a small number of engagements each year across compliance, operations, and team turnaround. Send a short description of the problem and the timeframe.
• Reader note or correction. Questions about a piece, or a correction to anything I have written. Corrections are taken seriously and acknowledged on the original.
